Example

Example
To factorise 2x + 6 you rewrite it as 2(x + 3).

favourable event the result you want (also called successful event)

Example
If you are tossing a die and hoping to roll a number greater than 4, the favourable events are 5 and 6.

Fibonacci numbers a special sequence of numbers named after the mathematician who discovered it

Starting with 1, 1 each term of the Fibonacci sequence is the sum of the two numbers preceding it.

Example
The first 10 Fibonacci numbers are 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55. To get the next number, add the last two terms 34 and 55 together: 89.
