Suggestions for using Cambridge HOTmaths

  • You can use display technology such as a projector or interactive whiteboard to illustrate a particular concept in Cambridge HOTmaths. Ask your students to reinforce their understanding of the lesson online at home by reading the tutorial, engaging with the interactive animations, or attempting walkthroughs and questions. Via your teacher account, you can see a progress report for each student and address any class or individual weaknesses.
  • You may choose to direct students to work through a lesson online at home before that lesson is presented in class. Then you can identify areas of the lesson on which to focus during class and free up valuable class time for open tasks, investigations and practical activities many of which are available from the extensive range of worksheets on the site.
  • Parents who would like to support their children's maths learning can use Cambridge HOTmaths to help them.
